This 'Pati-Patni Face-Off' Between Nitish Rana And Wife Saachi Marwah Is Too Good

Imagine Kolkata Knight Riders cricketer Nitish Rana bowling to his wife Saachi Marwah. Finding it hard? Well, we have a video. The clip, shared by the Kolkata-based franchise on Instagram, shows Nitish and Saachi gearing up for a game. The video opens to the KKR cricketer. We can hear a person asking him, “Ye kya face-off chal raha hai, [What sort of face-off is going on?].” The southpaw replied with a smile, “Pati, patni face-off, [Husband, wife face-off].” After seeing his wife play an impressive shot, Nitish says, “Mere se accha pull [shot] hai, [Her pull (shot) is better than mine].”

Saachi Marwah’s commendable batting certainly took Nitish Rana by surprise and in a bid to dismiss his wife, the Kolkata Knight Riders sensation even cheekily made some adjustments in field placing. The ploy, however, did not pay off as Nitish still failed to pick Saachi’s wicket. Nitish had initially started with underarm bowling but, then, he switched to overarm action. To his utter disappointment, the change in bowling action did not help Nitish in claiming the wicket of his wife.

At the time of sharing the video, Kolkata Knight Riders wrote, “The Pati-Patni face-off.” Of course, the video was a big hit on the social media platform.

Fans were super happy to witness this side of Nitish Rana. A few said that Nitish and Saachi Marwah are “couple goals.”

A fan said, “Always my favourite couple.”

Another added, “Want to watch Mr and Mrs Starc on the videos.That will definitely be a good one.”

A user reminded everyone that Nitish Rana led Kolkata Knight Riders in the last season.

“We want Nitish Rana back in KKR’s playing XI” was the sentiment.

In IPL 2024, Nitish Rana has so far featured in one game. Kolkata Knight Riders have had a terrific campaign under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. They are currently in the top spot in IPL 2024 standings. Having played 11 matches so far, KKR have claimed 16 points. In their next match, Iyer and men will play host to five-time champions Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens on Saturday, May 11.
