The baby’s parents posted about Meegan’s sweet gesture on TikTok, but it soon went viral across social media.

A baby’s first flight became extra special when a woman onboard crocheted a quick beanie for her. The five-month-old Romey was on a flight with her parents when she was mesmerised by Meegan who was crocheting next to them. Meegan noticed the toddler’s interest in her work and secretly made a beanie for her. When the flight landed, Meegan gifted this beanie to Romey’s parents who were thrilled by it. The baby’s parents posted about Meegan’s sweet gesture on TikTok, but it soon went viral across social media. On Tuesday, a popular Instagram account Good News Movement posted about this incident and it swiftly gathered over one lakh likes.

Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “I hope you put this hat in her baby box and keep it forever with a note of where and who it’s from. A prized possession.” A user recalled, “I had a similar thing happen on a flight when I had lost my hair due to chemotherapy treatment. The woman next to me crocheted a beautiful and warm purple headband with a flower! The flight was only an hour long! It was amazing!”

Another commented, “I read so many stories of people’s frustration with babies on flights. What a beautiful, kind, and supportive action on the part of this woman…What a powerful example! May we all find ways to “knit a hat” for a baby/young child/children on flights, even if that just means being patient, kind, and understanding rather than impatient, angry and judgmental.”

Meegan Rubin also posted about this story on her Instagram account and wrote, “I made some cool new friends on the flight home from Mexico this past weekend. Mom kellyluc and Dad instajake63 were such sweet parents as they took turns caring for their 5 month old baby girl Romey. While other children were crying and complaining, lil Romey remained calm, cool and collected as she gazed upon the crochet work in action . (My heart melted )she was adorable and deserving of a custom beanie !!! Thanks Kelly and Jake for sharing this story . The more we give , the more we receive!!!” This post has over 36,000 likes.
