Donald Trump attended the New Hampshire rally on Tuesday after his decisive win in Iowa solidified him as the likely GOP presidential nominee. The former president secured 51 percent of Republican voters to defeat rivals Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley for the biggest Iowa caucus win.
Victory in next Tuesday’s primary would mean Trump could all but seal the nomination as he aims for a sensational White House comeback despite a string of scandals that would sink most other politicians. At New Hampshire, Trump was accompanied by biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who dropped out and endorsed the former POTUS on Monday night.

“Last night I was truly honoured to welcome the endorsement of the man who has become a true leader and earned the admiration of so many patriots. I have been his friend even though we were competing against each other,” the 77-year-old said at the rally as he welcomed the Indian American on stage.
Addressing Trump supporters, Ramaswamy said that the United States is “in the middle of a war”. “It’s not a war between black and white. It’s not between Democrats and Republicans, even in a deeper sense. It’s between the permanent state and the everyday citizen, between those of us who love the United States of America and a fringe minority who hates this country and what we stand for,” he added.
The 38-year-old political novice said he called the former president earlier Monday evening to congratulate him on his victory in Iowa. Ramaswamy told supporters gathered at a Des Moines hotel that Trump “will have my full endorsement for the presidency.” “And I think we’re going to do the right thing for this country. And so I’m going to ask you to follow me in taking our America First movement to the next level,” he added. Trump, in his victory speech earlier, said Ramaswamy “did a helluva job” in the campaign.
‘VP VP VP’

At the New Hampshire stage on Tuesday, the Trump crowd chanted “VP VP VP” after Vivek was done speaking. Despite bonhomie on both ends, the question remains if Vivek will stand beside Trump for the vice presidency if the former president returns to the White House. Trump’s top advisor earlier had virtually ruled out the possibility that Ramaswamy would be the Vice President pick despite finding support for this prospect among Republicans.
Trump aide Jason Miller indicated that voters could “probably” exclude the Indian American candidate as the ex-president’s running mate. “Pretty safe to say it won’t be Vivek,” Miller told the New York Post on Saturday. The youngest GOP candidate has previously said he is not a “plan B person”. However, after Monday night’s endorsement, experts believe that things could change.
