'Game Over': The Rock Shares 8-bit Video Ahead of Bout Against Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania

WWE’s flagship event of the year Wrestlemania is nearly upon us and the excitement is palpable as fans are in for an enthralling two-day event which will feature some of the biggest names in wrestling.

The main attraction over the two days seem to be around the battle between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, which will also include the involvement of Seth Rollins and the legendary People’s Champ, The Rock.

The Rock has made a habit of making sensational returns to the ring over the years and this time around he has been heavily involved in the running plot pitting Rhodes and Reigns up against each other for the title.

Rock took his nephew’s side in the rivalry and announced that he’d team up with Reigns for a mouth-watering clash against Rhodes and Rolling, which will have a bearing on the main event of the event on the second day as Rhodes and Reigns take on each other in an individual bout for the gold.

‘The Final Boss’, as the Rock has termed himself in the build-up to the event, shared a video on his social media platform, which saw an 8-bit character of Rhodes appear in a vintage video game simulation.

In the video, Rhodes makes his way through a couple of stages by defeating the opposition, before coming up against Reigns’ likeness. Rollins appears to come up and stand beside Rhodes in support, before a gigantic image of The Rock appears in the background to knock Rhodes and Rollins out cold.

Day 1 of the spectacle will feature bouts between The Rock & Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins, and a fight between Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch to determine the Women’s World Championship. Gunther, seeking to defend his Intercontinental Championship will take on Sami Zayn.

Brothers and former teammates Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso will be pitted against one another before an Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Six-Pack Ladder Match featuring Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Finn Balor), Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth), DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa), New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods), New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) and A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) is sure to up the ante.

The women’s pairing of Bianca Belair, Naomi & Jade Cargill will take on the Damage CTRL duo of Dakota Kai, Asuka & Kairi Sane while the legendary Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee will be up against Santos Escobar & Dominik Mysterio.
