For the first time, the city of Toronto will host the next edition of the Money in the Bank event. One of the most significant events of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) calendar, Money in the Bank 2024 will take place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on July 6.
WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced this on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.
“This summer, for the first time ever, Money in the Bank heads to Toronto and headlines a massive weekend at Scotiabank Arena. 7/5 #SmackDown, 7/6 #MITB, 7/7 #NXTHeatwave. Thrilled to bring one of the most exciting events of the year to Canada. This is going to be epic,” read the post shared by Triple H.
Apart from this year’s Money in the Bank, WWE will also host SmackDown at the same venue the night before. On July 7, the Scotiabank Arena will hold the NXT Heatwave. WWE also confirmed that fans can register for pre-sale and “Priority Passes” will be made available, to allow fans to get their tickets earlier.

With the latest announcement, the Money in the Bank has emerged as the fourth WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) set to take place in a country other than the United States in 2024. The upcoming edition of the Elimination Chamber is scheduled to take place next month in Australia, while the Backlash is heading to France in May. The WWE Bash will be held in Berlin, Germany in August.
Coming back to the WWE Money in the Bank, the PLE is known to generally host two Money in the Bank multi-person ladder fights. While one is designated for the men’s segment, the women superstars vie in the other division. The winner, who recovers the briefcase, is promised to secure a championship battle as per their chosen time and place for a calendar year.
One of the most prolific superstars ever to fight in WWE, Edge was the first winner of the maiden edition of Money in the Bank in 2005. Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Christian, Kane and Shelton Benjamin were the other competitors who had vied for the briefcase back then. Edge went on to cash in his contract against John Cena and ended up earning the WWE Championship title.
