A funny yet shameful incident has been reported recently, where a passenger, who was flying IndiGo’s Pune-Bengaluru flight, ended up having no cushion on his seat. According to the reports, a flyer named Arun Sindhwani booked the flight (6E-6877) on December 7. When he boarded the flight after around 4.30 am, he got stunned by seeing no cushion on his seat.
No cushion in IndiGo’s Flight
While confirming the news, Sindhwani told the media that after putting baggage in the compartment, he witnessed that the seat, which was offered to him during pre-booking did not have a cushion. He even told the matter to the crew members on the board, but no solution was given at that moment.
Here’s What Flyer Says
Sindhwani said that when he complained about the same, a person from the crew came, and was having the cushion in his hands. When the maintenance fixed it, it was not comfortable as it felt not the right one for that seat, flyer added. Later, the crew member exchanged it with another one. However, the scene continued till the boarding finished.
When the matter came into the limelight, the airline reacted to the matter. While clarifying the incident, the budget carrier said the seat cushion had become wet and needed a replacement.
IndiGo’s Reaction
Indigo’s spokesperson also told the media that, “During boarding, our team noticed a seat with juice spilled on it. Taking prompt action, the wet cushion was sent for replacement. To ensure the comfort of the passenger, he was offered an alternative seat in the same row till the cushion was replaced. IndiGo maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure a safe, hassle-free experience and regrets any inconvenience caused to the passenger,”
