Air India: Delhi-Bound Flight Returned to Kathmandu Due to Unsual Noise
Earlier in July this year, a similar incident has been reported, where a Paris-bound flight returned to Delhi. This happened due to the wheel tyre bursting sound.

In a surprising event, the leading carrier Air India’s flight number AI 216, which was scheduled to arrive in Delhi from Kathmandu on Saturday, returned to its base due to due to unusual sound.

Amid this, it was also reported that after completing the passenger’s boarding process, the flight was preparing for take-off, and all of a sudden it was noticed that one of the doors was not working in normal order.

However, giving an overview of the whole incident, one of the officials clarified that the step was taken due to tail strike suspicion, not door-related issues. While calling both the issues different, he said there was no breach of safety during the takeoff.

Here’s What Official Says

When the team inspected, it showed no sign of a trike at the tail. Later, the aircraft was given a green signal to fly on Sunday, the official added.

Similar Take-off Related Incident

Meanwhile, this is not the first time such incidents have been reported by Air India. Earlier in July this year, a similar incident was reported, where a Paris-bound flight returned to Delhi. This happened due to the wheel tyre bursting sound.

While confirming the incident, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said the aircraft witnessed vibration and loud noise. However, the engine parameters were said to be in normal condition.
