Moto Guzzi Unveils Stelvio Adventure Bike, Check Features
Moto Guzzi has launched the Stelvio adventure bike, which is built on the same chassis and engine as the V100 Mandello.

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Moto Guzzi has revealed its new adventure bike, the Stelvio.

This highly anticipated adventure bike is set to make its debut at the EICMA exhibition in Milan next month. The development of the Moto Guzzi Stelvio has been in the spotlight since the introduction of the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello, with details emerging through patent documents and spy images as recently as September this year.

After Guzzi hinted at the return of the Stelvio during a show last year, prototypes have been spotted testing in the vicinity of the company’s headquarters on the shores of Lake Como.

The Stelvio is powered by the same 1,042cc liquid-cooled 90-degree V-twin engine, arranged in the traditional Guzzi fashion with a transverse layout. While precise power figures are not yet available, they are expected to be in the ballpark of the Mandello’s 115 bhp and 105 Nm of torque. The Stelvio features dual-purpose tires on its 19/17-inch tubeless wire-spoke wheels, in line with the standard for contemporary adventure bikes.

Moto Guzzi Stelvio: The Adventure Bike

Despite its off-road capabilities, the motorcycle is christened after the Stelvio road in the Italian Alps, emphasizing its prowess in on-road touring. It boasts an array of features to enhance its capabilities, including full LED lighting, cruise control, cornering ABS, traction control, and five customizable riding modes. Moreover, the factory-installed PFF Rider Assistance Solution incorporates safety improvements through 4D imaging.

What’s more, if you choose to equip a radar system for the first time on a Moto Guzzi, adaptive cruise control is now an option. Additionally, the adaptive aero is carried over from the Mandello V100. All these functionalities are seamlessly controlled through the same 5-inch TFT dashboard and switchgear shared with the 2021+ Aprilia large motorcycles and the Mandello V100.

The Stelvio has 6.69 inches of travel front and rear thanks to 46mm forks working in tandem with a single shock out back. For rebound and preload, both components may be hydraulically modified.

Given that the Stelvio has a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres, compared to the Mandello’s 233 kg (kerb) weight, it is reasonable to predict that the Stelvio will weigh significantly more. Other important details about the Stelvio will be revealed at EICMA, which is slated to be conducted between November 7, 2023, and November 12, 2023.

Nonetheless, Moto Guzzi has revealed a lot of information about the bike ahead of time on its website, including pictures and technical details that indicate an adventure tourer with an on-road inclination that will no doubt pique people’s curiosity.
