Odysse Electric Vehicles has partnered with SUN Mobility to export its flagship electric motorcycle, Vader SM.
This partnership aims to take the daily commute bike, powered by SUN Mobility’s advanced battery-swapping technology, to key markets worldwide, marking a major step in Odysse Electric’s global expansion and promoting electric mobility globally.
The Vader SM runs on two of SUN Mobility’s Smart Batteries, which are AIS-156 approved, portable, and swappable at SUN Mobility’s Quick Interchange Stations. The bike features a digital instrument cluster, a 4000-watt electric motor with a top speed of 80 km/h, and a range of 130 km per swap.
It offers five drive modes: Eco, Power, Sports, Reverse, and Parking, along with cruise control. Advanced features include a Combi Braking system, Hill Assist, Energy Regeneration, and CAN communication with built-in protection circuits, ensuring safety and convenience.
Mr. Nemin Vora, CEO of Odysse Electric Vehicles, said, “Our association with SUN Mobility will enable us to bring our flagship product, Vader SM, to new markets by leveraging SUN Mobility’s advanced battery infrastructure and network.”
The partnership focuses on making electric commuting easier and more convenient in markets like Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. These regions will benefit from SUN Mobility’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, allowing quick battery swaps at their stations.
Mr. Ajay Goel, Co-founder & Executive Director of SUN Mobility, added, “This partnership marks a significant step forward in our mission to drive affordable sustainable mobility solutions globally, leveraging our innovative battery swapping platform to enhance accessibility and convenience for electric vehicle users worldwide.”
SUN Mobility is rolling out swapping stations across these regions on a pilot basis, allowing riders to swap batteries quickly, addressing concerns about upfront costs, range anxiety, and long charging times.
