Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a key player in India’s renewable energy and electric vehicle (EV) charging sectors, is leading the charge towards e-mobility with the installation of over 850 charging points in major cities.
These charging stations are strategically placed at more than 30 bus depots across cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Jammu, Srinagar, Dharwad, Lucknow, and Goa. This extensive network supports over 2300 public e-buses, significantly cutting down CO2 emissions by over 100,000 tons.
Accoridng to the official Press Release, the charging infrastructure features high-capacity fast chargers with power ranges from 180 to 240 kW, capable of charging buses in just 1 to 1.5 hours. This efficiency meets the high demands of public transport systems.
Delhi is at the forefront of utilizing Tata Power’s EV charging points for e-buses, closely followed by Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Jammu, and Srinagar. Tata Power is working closely with various OEM operators and state transport corporations to further the adoption of e-mobility.

This includes lean, customized, and cost-effective designs, as well as timely execution and comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services. The company also offers additional services such as effluent treatment plants and obtaining necessary NOC approvals to ensure smooth operations.
