The 2018 Auto Expo not only brought to India the latest YZF-R15 but also marked the return of the YZF-R3. The motorcycle has been missing from the market for quite some time but now it has come back better than before. The new R3 will come as a BS-IV compliant motorcycle and also gets features like Dual-Channel ABS along with Metzeler Tyres.
We had tested the previous generation Yamaha R3 and despite being pleased in almost every way, it really just had two areas where it could have made do with some improvement - Tyres and the absence of ABS. Seems like Yamaha Motor India has heard the reviews, as well as the demands and feedback from their customers as they have now given it just that. On top of that, the new R3 will come in two new colours – Racing Blue and Magna Black.
All of this comes at a price increase of a tad over Rs 20,000 as the bike has been launched at Rs 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
