After her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, Khushi Kapoor is all set to star in first-time director Shauna Gautam’s upcoming film. This film will reportedly feature Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, as the lead hero. Rhea Kapoor recently took to Instagram to announce that the film’s shoot has commenced.
Rhea shared a video on her Instagram story, originally posted by her mother Sunita Kapoor. The video featured Shauna Gautam’s name on a film clapper and revealed that the film is being made in association with Netflix and will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatics. Netizens were quick to speculate that this is the same film in which Khushi and Ibrahim will be seen together.

A source had told Pinkvilla earlier, “It’s one of those romantic comedies that Hindi Cinema is known for. However, Karan and co. feel that the palette of narrative fits better for the OTT than the big screen. It’s planned and will be executed as an OTT original.”
Recently, reports claimed that Suniel Shetty has also joined the cast now. A source close to ETimes shared, “Suniel plays an integral part in the movie. He is playing a character that is going to be very interesting.”
Set to make his directorial debut, Shauna Gautam has worked as an AD in a few big-banner Bollywood films. Earlier this year, he was associated with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and in 2018, he was part of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju as an AD under the guidance of Raju Hirani.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Ali Khan is already working on his debut acting project. The actor will reportedly be seen in a thriller film with Kajol. Details of the film are still under wraps. Khushi recently made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
