Urvashi sparked rumours that she could join politics after her recent interview. The actress, who will be seen in the film JNU, said she has already got a ticket and she is yet to decide if she wants to contest. “I have already got the ticket. And now I have to decide whether to go into politics or not. I don’t know whether I will go into politics or not, but I would definitely like to know from the fans. They should tell me whether I should join politics or not,” she told Instant Bollywood.
Directed by Vinay Sharma and produced by Pratima Datta, JNU was announced earlier this month. The film stars Urvashi and Ravi Kishan in the lead. As per reports, the film has taken inspiration from the infamous events at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi. During the promotion of the film, the actress talked about her experience, and how she has been able to fulfil her father’s dream by being a part of the project.
Urvashi claimed her father always wanted her to study at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) since she was in school. The actress will be seen playing the role of a student at the university, who faces challenges and gets involved in college politics.
