After Airtel, Reliance cuts roaming rate
Reliance Communication said he local outgoing calls while roaming on-net mobile and on-net fixed will be Rs 1.40.

New Delhi: There’s good news for Reliance users. After Telecom major Bharti Airtel reduced roaming tariffs on Wednesday, Reliance Communication of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group announced a matching offer on Thursday.

A mobile user will now be charged Rs 1.40 for local outgoing calls while roaming on-net mobile and on-net fixed.

The Inter circle outgoing calls while roaming on mobile and fixed have been reduced to Rs 2.40, a Reliance Communications release stated.

The incoming calls while roaming would be charged at Rs 1.75.

Last month telecom regulator TRAI had announced a lowering in roaming charges.

The Company press release also said - the company completely removed post-paid roaming rentals, pre-paid customers will now be charged 44 per cent lower rates on roaming.

Meanwhile, Reliance Communications President Personal Business S P Shukla was quoted by news agency PTI as saying that the company's roaming proposition is the best in the industry and with the new offer, it remains unique and superior.
