Lucknow: The Jet-Sahara case has been transferred to the Supreme Court from Lucknow and is scheduled for a hearing on Thusday.
Sources close to Naresh Goyal have been saying that Goyal is apprehensive that the legal battle may face intimidation if it were fought in a court outside Bombay; particularly in UP.
The apprehension have arose because of the proximity, which exists between Air Sahara chief, Subroto Roy and the ruling Samajwadi Party chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav, which could exert its pulls and pressures on the legal battle.
Goyal, doesn't want that to happen. There is big money involved here, to the tune of Rs 2,300 crore and there is about Rs 1500 crore as of now in the Escrow account.
Naresh Goyal would not leave any chance to ensure that he gets his money back and that is the reason he is keen that the case should be moved out of the Lucknow High Court to the Bombay High Court.
But whether that happens and what is the view that Supreme Court takes, will be known in sometime.
