CSK has been handling Dhoni’s workload after his knee surgery. He only encounters a few deliveries when he comes out to bat and even batted at No. 9 against Punjab Kings. The former CSK skipper has come out to bat in 10 innings so far this season and has been dismissed only twice, including a first-ball duck. But on most occasions, MSD has made the most impact with the bat as he smashed the bowlers all around the park. Dhoni has scored 161 runs with a strike rate of 226.66.
Dhoni has a good record at the Chinnaswamy against RCB, having scored 276 runs from nine matches and that too at an average of 125.33 and a strike rate of 184.31, scoring four half-centuries.
Battling through injury and adversity, Dhoni has showcased his mastery with the bat, defying age and expectations with every innings. Though his appearances at the crease were fleeting, his impact was profound for his fans across the globe
The 42-year-old Dhoni surprised everyone by stepping aside as captain of CSK just a day before the start of the 2024 season with Ruturaj Gaikwad taking over the reins of the side.
