The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) admit card has been released today, August 12 by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha). Those who have enrolled for the test can go to bseodisha.nic.in, the official website, to check their admit card. In order to obtain the admit cards, candidates must provide their date of birth and registration number. Candidates are advised by the Odisha BSE to download their admission cards well in advance in order to prevent last-minute rushes or technical glitches.

The OTET 2024 will be administered on August 17 at various test locations in Odisha. The OTET will include two examinations, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each lasting two and a half hours. Both papers will be fully composed of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be one mark awarded for each question and no marks deducted for incorrect answers.

Step 1: Visit bseodisha.ac.in, the website of BSE Odisha.

Step 2: Navigate to the “Latest Updates” section on the site.

Step 3: Select “OTET Admit Card 2024” from the website.

Step 4: Provide your login information.

Step 5: Download and print the OTET Admit Card 2024 for future use.

The BSE, Odisha, has imposed a minimum passing percentage for the OTET 2024. Candidates falling under the general category must have a qualifying percentage of at least 60 per cent. Meanwhile, applicants who belong to the OBC, SC, or ST categories must get a qualifying percentage of at least 50 per cent in order to be considered qualified in the test. Those who pass the OTET can obtain a certificate that is valid for seven years, giving them plenty of time to find employment as teachers in the government school system of Odisha.

Applications for the OTET were only accepted from candidates who fulfil the necessary percentage of marks in both the academic and training criteria. Aside from that, applicants who are in their final year of teacher training programs before the OTET date is announced and desire to teach classes 1–8 in state-run schools, private aided schools, and private unaided schools in Odisha are also eligible to take the test.
