The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for lateral recruitment for the post of joint secretary and director-level officers (Group ‘A’). Both the vacancies are based on lateral entry. Interested candidates can apply online on www.upsc.gov.in. The openings have been notified for various ministries and departments at New Delhi.
Applications will be shortlisted and will be called for an interview. The interview date will be intimated soon on the official site. The last date to print the submitted application form is March 23.
The selected candidates will be appointed on contract basis for a period of three years. The deputation validity can be extended up to five years based on the candidate’s performance. Applications must be made on or before March 22. Those interested can also apply for more than one post.
Those having experience working with state government departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies, statutory organizations, Universities and private organizations can apply, given they meet the age and other criteria.
UPSC Recruitment 2021: Vacancy Details
Applicant must be a citizen of India. The UPSC Recruitment 2021 is being carried out to fill 30 vacancies. Out of 30 available positions, three openings are for joint secretary, and 27 reserved for director posts.
UPSC Recruitment 2021: Eligibility
Age: For the Joint Secretary level post, the minimum and maximum age limit are 40 and 55 years, respectively. For the Director level post, the minimum and maximum age limit are 35 and 45 years, respectively.
Work experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of work experience to be eligible for joint secretary level posts and a minimum of 10 years of experience for director level posts.
UPSC Recruitment 2021: Pay Scale
For Joint Secretary level post, qualified candidates will be entitled to the pay of Rs 2,21,000 including DA, TA and HRA in present level. For Director level post, the selected candidates will be given Rs 1,82,000 including DA, HRA in present level.
