New Delhi: The Argentina whizkid has once again assured everyone that he has no intention of going anywhere.
Lionel Messi has re-iterated his desire to stay at Barcelona, in a bid to dampen the speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
Speaking to Barca TV after playing a starring role in his team's 4-1 win over Numancia, Messi said "I do not know where all these rumours start, but I have never wanted to leave this club. If I ever leave, it will be because they do not want me, not because I want to leave. "
"Barcelona," he continued, "has always treated me and my family in an extraordinary fashion, ever since I was a small child."
Finally, the Argentine said "Staying with Barca would be my way of thanking them for what they have done for me."
