F.R.I.E.N.D.S Star Matt LeBlanc Steps Out With Heavy Heart After Matthew Perry's Death: Report
Matt LeBlanc, known for his role as Joey Tribbiani on the popular TV show F.R.I.E.N.D.S, was spotted driving in Sherman Oaks, appearing noticeably disturbed.

Matthew Perry’s untimely demise has sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry. Initial reports suggest that the beloved star of F.R.I.E.N.D.S may have passed away due to an accidental drowning, however, the investigation is still ongoing. In the midst of this heartbreaking news, a fellow co-star initially remained silent but later shared a profoundly touching statement. Matt LeBlanc, who portrayed Joey Tribbiani on the iconic show, was recently photographed for the first time following Perry’s tragic demise, as per the reports by Page Six. If the reports are anything to go by, the 56-year-old actor was seen driving his Mercedes G Wagon in Sherman Oaks, looking visibly disturbed.

Matthew and Matt’s off-screen friendship was very much similar to their on-screen camaraderie. In a 2015 interview with People, Matt referred to Perry as his little brother. Meanwhile, Matt becomes the third F.R.I.E.N.D.S star to make a public appearance, as earlier in the week, David Schwimmer and Courteney Cox were also spotted.

David Schwimmer, who portrayed Ross in F.R.I.E.N.D.S, was recently photographed in New York as he received a food delivery outside his home. He flashed a peace sign with his left hand to the photographers, offering a silent message of gratitude to the fans and media. Courteney Cox, who played Monica, was seen in California, leaving Nobu Malibu with her longtime boyfriend, Johnny McDaid. The distress of Matthew Perry’s loss was obvious on her face.

Two days after the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Matthew, his co-stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David, released a joint statement to PEOPLE.

Their statement read: “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

Matthew Perry dedicated a decade of his career to bringing Chandler Bing’s character to life, for which he received an Emmy nomination in 2002. In 2021, the cast reunited for a special event titled Friends: The Reunion, which premiered on HBO Max.
