Phone numbers offered by virtual network operators (like Skype Out, Google Voice, RingCentral) cannot be used to unblock accounts, so you'll need to use another number registered to your name through a mobile provider. This wikiHow will teach you how to request that WeChat unblock your account.
- Use WeChat’s support form for attempting to unblock your account.
- Send a verification code to the number associated with your WeChat account.
- Follow the instructions included with the code to try recovering your account.
Go to https://support.wechat.com/cgi-bin/mmsupport-bin/readtemplate?t=weixin_unlock_self&step=0. This will take you to a WeChat support form where you can attempt to unblock your account. If your WeChat account was registered in Mainland China, click For mobile numbers in Mainland China, tap here to unblock.
Select your ID type. It's how you'll identify your WeChat account. If you don't know your WeChat ID, use your mobile number, email, or QQ ID.
Enter your WeChat ID, mobile number, email, or QQ ID. In the fields beneath "Banned WeChat Account," enter the appropriate information.
Select a country and enter your phone number next to "Send verification code to." Use the number associated with your WeChat account here.
Enter the CAPTCHA characters. You'll see the code on the right. If you can't see it well, click Try a different one and you might get one that's easier to see.
Click Send Verification Code. This will prompt the WeChat system to send a verification code to the phone number associated with your account.
Follow the instructions included with the code. The text message you get with the verification code should also link you to a place where you can enter the code.
