First Glimpse Of Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2 To Be Out On This Date
Indian 2 was announced in 2019 but faced many production problems including an accident on the sets and the COVID-19 pandemic.

After a long period of going through development hell, the Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 is finally gaining traction. S Shankar is directing the sequel to the 1996 Indian, starring Kamal Haasan. The movie is presently in its last phase. Additionally, all of the Kamal Haasan-related scenes have been filmed.

It is reported that Chimbu Deven, Visakhagan and Vasanthabalan, who worked as assistant directors under Shankar and turned directors are also helping with direction in the film as Shankar has also been directing RC15 starring Ram Charan simultaneously. Reportedly, they are shooting the scenes involving Siddharth while all the scenes with Kamal Haasan were directed by Shankar.

The production team of the movie have made an announcement that has piqued the interest of fans. The makers have revealed that the intro glimpse of Indian 2 will be unveiled on November 3. This is great news for fans who have been waiting for updates on the movie for almost 4 years.

Indian 2 was announced in 2019 but had faced many production problems along the way. A tragic accident on the sets which claimed the lives of two crew members had put production on halt and after that, the COVID-19 pandemic further delayed the project.

After the pandemic, Kamal Haasan and S Shankar got busy with other projects and the film was considered shelved until the former confirmed that Indian 2 was happening during a promotional event for Vikram. The team is planning to release this film during the summer holidays of next year.

Indian 2 also stars Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Samudra Gani, Bobby Simha, George Marion and others. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film. Indian 2 is being produced by Red Giant Movies in association with Lyca Productions. The 1996 film Indian narrated the tale of a freedom fighter turned vigilante who kills corrupt bureaucrats and government officials to weed out corruption from society.
