It has been reported that the owner drove his weather-proof EV in a waterlogged area. Since then, the issue continued bothering him.

Ever since Tata turned its fuel-powered Nexon into an EV, it has been grabbing a lot of headlines. But, for all the wrong reasons. Despite having a lot of features and good built quality, the mid-size EV somehow failed to impress the customers. There are multiple technical glitch-related incidents that have been reported in the past, where the customer either cries in the corner after purchasing the vehicle or just wants to return it to the company. Recently, a fresh case come into the limelight, where a Tata Nexon EV owner named Sridhar Ghanta from Hyderabad complained of featuring a ‘High Voltage’ alert on a newly purchased EV.

The owner also shared the video on Facebook and wrote “In the morning, I posted about Nexon EV’s water wading capacity, and by evening, I’m not happy to post this negative service delay experience. With hardly 5 months of EV Nexon ownership, my EV started flashing HV system fault and came to a complete halt with only 16% charge left. It may be a software glitch, but I’m not happy with the delayed towing service. The entire day, I had to deal with this issue only. I hope Tata won’t disappoint in addressing this service issue.”

Tata Nexon EV Max Weather-Proof Battery

It has been reported that the owner drove his weather-proof EV in a waterlogged area. Since then, the issue continued bothering him. It has been claimed by Ghanta that he is not even angry about the EV’s problem. But, his only concern is that the Tata dealership and or service centre, who is failed to resolve the issue on time.

Tata Nexon EV Price and Specs

2023 Tata Nexon has been introduced in the Indian market at the starting price of Rs 14.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle comes with two models – a long-range version that is powered by water and a dust-resistant 40.5 kWh battery pack. While the medium range features a 30 kWh battery pack. The models claimed to provide a max range of 465 km and 325 km respectively.
