SALEM: Two persons died when a mini van carrying poultry rammed into a roadside tree near Sankagiri on Sunday. Both were working for Tiruchengode based poultry agent Subash, who distributed chicken to retail shops in nearby towns. S Anandan of Pallipalayam used to drive the poultry van, while Danasekaran and Venkatesh of Sooramangalam worked as helpers to unload the goods at the retail outlets. After making supplies in Vaikundam near Sankagiri, Anandan and the helpers were returning to Tiruchengode when the mini van went off the road and rammed into a tree at Thannerpandal. Anandan was trapped in the mangled vehicle and died on the spot. Venkatesan, who was thrown out of the vehicle in the impact of the accident,also died on the spot. A severely injured Danasekaran was taken to the Sankagiri GH from where he was referred to Erode Government Hospital.
