Advani, Sethi enter World Billiards C'ship SF
Pankaj Advani set up a clash with England's Mike Russell while Geet Sethi will face Peter Gilchrist of Singapore.

Pune: Pankaj Advani fired an unfinished break of 709 while Geet Sethi produced six century breaks to enter the semifinals of the World Billiards Championship (time format) here on Thursday.

Defending champion Advani defeated Rupesh Shah 1279-684 in the quarterfinal to set up a clash with modern legend Mike Russell of England.

"The break has come at the right time and I hope it will help me in the next match," said Advani.

Advani had earlier lost to Russell in the point format of the ongoing world championship.

Sethi beat compatriot Ashok Shandilya 1658-455 in the quarterfinal. He will face Peter Gilchrist of Singapore in the semifinals.
