AIMPLB clarifies on madrasas

HYDERABAD: The All-India Muslim Personal Law Board seeks complete exemption of madrasas from RTE by being treated as religious educational institutions established under the fundamental right of religious communities, AIMPLB assistant general secretary Abdur Qureshi has said.Reacting to a report published in these columns on Tuesday, he clarified that the category of minority educational institutions should be recognised from private institutions to guarantee autonomy granted to them in selecting students and creating management bodies.
