Amendments aimed at strengthening party

KOZHIKODE:  Briefing the media, politburo member Brinda Karat said the general trend of the amendments was to strengthen the future direction of the party.“It was near  unanimous adoption as there was only one delegate out of the 789 delegates and observers who  voted against it.”   She said the congress flayed the growing atrocities towards women.  Asked about the party’s stand on land issue at Nandigram and Singur, she said they did not believe that there was any forceful acquisition of land. “We have no hesitation at all to admit our mistakes if any” she summed up.
