AP: Woman police officer faces public caning charges

Hyderabad: Anantapur Deputy SP E Supraja along with a few constables have been accused of high handedness after the team was caught caning four accused at a market square in Guntakal in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.

The police team as part of 'counseling' hit the accused amidst gathering to teach them a lesson and scare other troublemakers.

Earlier, similar cases had been reported too from the district where police resorted to public caning. The accused are allegedly involved in a murder case.
