The temple is Kandhal Kashi Vishwanath, in Ooty, where these tree lotuses were found to be in bloom. According to the information given, the flowers have been at the place for years. It is believed that ancient saints are still engaged in meditation under the tree.

The lotuses of this place are also utilized for medical purposes, reports Local18. According to a local named Saravanan, “This place is called Nandavanam. The complex in the Ooty area will have very fragrant sampangi flowers.” Speaking further, he added, “The buds of the tree lotus tree grow as lotus nearby. These trees can be found only in dense forests. But the trees grown here are rare.” The video taken by the Local18 team shows the white-hued lotuses, sitting atop a tree branch.
