BANGALORE: In an effort to encourage service providers to perform better, Brand Academy and Big Brands Research awarded 54 state-based service providers in different categories here on Saturday.Presenting the awards, MP and author, Dr Shashi Tharoor said, “In order to achieve excellence, it is essential for one to put in effort. One needs to take risks and should have the desire to do better than others.”He appreciated the efforts of the awardees in their respective fields and said, “Achieving excellence in providing services has been a highly underrated concept in India. This unique initiative of recognising service providers is indeed a boost required to help them evolve as true challengers to global brands.” The award was given based on results from a survey conducted by about 40 field executives from Big Brand Research. The awards were given in fields such as hospitality and education.
