BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner Siddaiah has warned to take action against vacant site owners.
Speaking at the intensive cleaning programme organised by BBMP at Bangalore South zone, Siddaiah said that vacant sites are creating unnecessary problems, destroying public's peace. "Owners of many sites are not constructing buildings in the vacant land. Just for the sake of owning property, some people buy land and leave them vacant. This has been creating problems to the people residing in and around those sites," he said. He further added if this trend continued, BBMP would take action against them.

Resident welfare association members of Ramanjaneya Nagar, Narayana Nagar, Gouravanagar, RBI layout, Singapore, Vajarahalli layout discussed their problems with the commissioner. Major concerns raised were dog menace in these localities. The association requested the commissioner to arrange cleanliness drive in these vacant sites to curb dog menace.

Councilors Vijaya Ramesh, S Shashirekha Jayaram, K Ramesh Babu, L Ramesh were present.
