Directed by Andy Serkis, the film will be a combination of animation and motion capture technology.

Here's another piece of fantastic news for Benedict Cumberbatch fans. After portraying the role of Khan in 'Star Trek Into Darkness', Cumberbatch will now be giving his voice to Sher Khan, in the upcoming Warner Brothers' 'Jungle Book: Origins'.

The news was first reported by Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday.

The film, which is set to be the directorial of debut of 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' actor Andy Serkis, will be a combination of animation and motion capture technology.

Cumberbatch, who shot to fame with BBC's television series 'Sherlock', has also voiced prominent characters such as the dragon from 'The Hobbit' series and the voice of Alan Rickman in an episode of 'The Simpsons'.
