HYDERABAD: BJP state president G Kishan Reddy has demanded the government to take up relief measures on a war footing in droughthit areas in the state.Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, he accused the state government of failing miserably in coming to the rescue of the farmers who suffered huge losses due to drought.
He wanted the state government to send a report to the Centre on the drought situation in the state and get funds immediately if not they may have to see starvation deaths in future.Kishan Reddy said the state government even failed to send a team of officials to visit droughthit areas. He said a BJP delegation visited droughthit areas from October 28 to 31 in 16 districts and interacted with the farmers.
