The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday said BJP will score a hat trick in Madhya Pradesh on the back of a "pro-incumbency" wave sweeping across the state.
"The commitment shown by the BJP government in implementing welfare schemes since last 10 years and specially during Shivraj Singh Chouhan's leadership and the kind of vision and sensitivity shown by it, has resulted in a pro-incumbency wave in favour of the ruling party in the state," Sushma told reporters before leaving for Pananagar seat for campaigning.
Top BJP leaders, including party president Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Ravishankar Prasad, Venkaiah Naidu among others, on formally launched the party's campaign in the state, which is going to polls on November 25, simultaneously from various places.
Referring to the allegations levelled by the Congress that a scam of Rs 1.46 lakh crore took place under BJP's watch in the state, Swaraj said, "since they (Congress) were indulged in the 2G and coal scams, they have come out with a matching figure without any evidence to corner the BJP government".
The Vidisha MP said the Congress has no vision of its own and that was amply reflected in its manifesto in which it merely renamed the welfare schemes which are being successfully implemented by the BJP government.
