London: A Canadian man is on a tour across the world and imagine who is accompanying him - six sex dolls, each wearing glamorous outfits, lingerie, wigs and stilettos.

Dave Hockey, 57, has taken his 'silicone beauties' on trips across Britain and the US and insists his wife 'doesn't mind'.

He has splashed out a whopping 16,000 pounds ($25,000) to travel around the world with the dolls, The Sun reported.

Dave has travelled with his fake girlfriends across Stonehenge, the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls.

"My wife understands it is a hobby. She isn't threatened by the dolls. She knows I'm not going to run off with an 80-pound piece of silicone shaped like a woman," he said.

In 2010, Dave, who lives in Canada, flew 'Realdoll Bianca' and 'Teddy Babe Deluxe Carley' to Britain for trips to Oxford, Wiltshire and Abergavenny in Wales.

He also filmed a seven-week road trip across the US, from his home in Nova Scotia to San Diego, meeting other doll owners for his documentary.

And during the holiday, Bianca - a 2,030 doll who has featured in the film "Lars and the Real Doll" - was taken sky-diving, horseback riding and on the back of a Harley Davidson motorbike.

Some of the dolls weigh more than 40 kg and Dave needs a wheelchair to move them in and out of hotels or tourist attractions.

He has bought 1,270 pounds worth of glamorous outfits for the dolls from lingerie giants Fredericks of Hollywood and buycostumes.com, 18 wigs at 38 pounds each plus several pairs of stilettos.

"I purchased my first dolls in November 2006. They looked cute. I think the dolls are pretty - any man is lying if he says they aren't," he said.

His entire doll collection includes smaller-sized Teddy Babes Carley, Samantha, Diana, Miyuki, Jessica, Janelle and Nita, and life-size dolls Jessica, Gabrielle, Jocelyn, Lilly, Ruby, Jenny, and Bianca.

"Some people in the doll community, referred to as iDollators, prefer their dolls over a normal human relationship," he said.

"But for me they are just dolls, not people. The dolls do, however, have a presence about them, and more than once I have caught myself saying, 'Excuse me' as I walked by them."

Dave is in the final stages of editing his documentary and hopes to complete it soon.
