THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI court here posted the two- decade-old controversial Sister Abhaya case to March 12 while accepting a petition by Neyyattinkara P Nagaraj seeking a further investigation into the case. Nagaraj had prayed for further investigation as the reference in the postmortem report of Sister Abhaya that she was sexually abused before death was not probed into by the CBI. CBI Special Judge T S P Moosad accepted the plea and posted the case to March 12.Father Jose Poothrukka, Father Thomas M Kottoor and Sister Sefi, the three accused in the case who are on bail, appeared before the CBI court here for the first time. All the three were arrested on November 19, 2008 in the case in which the 21-year-old sister was found dead in a well at St Pius Convent in Kottayam on March 27, 1992. Meanwhile, the CJM court here would consider the case against R Geetha, former State Chief Chemical Examiner and her assistant M Chitra, a chemical analyst, on January 16 for allegedly tampering with the chemical examination report on Abhaya’s internal organs.
