PUDUCHERRY: Union Minister of State for PMO V Narayanasamy said he would send a petition to the Chief Election Commissioner of India Dr S Y Quraishi on Tuesday, seeking his intervention for a free and fair by-election in the Indira Nagar Assembly constituency on October 13.Addressing reporters he said the Congress had submitted petitions to the State election authorities, who had not yet taken any action.Stating that Congress workers and voters of the constituency were being intimidated by the ruling All India Namathu Rajyam Congress (AINRC), he also alleged that the ruling party may attempt booth capturing and, therefore, decided to petition the CEC to seek intervention to ensure a free and fair election.
