Coastal patrolling has been hit here for the past few months following a row between the Territorial Government and Centre over approval of fuel costs.
Coastal patrolling has been hit here for the past few months following a row between the Territorial Government and Centre over approval of fuel costs. The Centre had sanctioned a 12-tonne boat and another 5-tonne vessel for coastal vigil from Vanchur to Mandapathur. However, in November last, the 12-tonne boat hit a rock and could not be operated. The 5-tonne boat alone was in service, but that too was stopped following difference of opinion between the Central and Territorial Governments. ENS
