WARANGAL: A team of nine Congress MPs, belonging to Telangana, visited Medaram village on Sunday where the biennial Sammakka-Saralamma jatara is scheduled to be held next month. They expressed dissatisfaction with the arrangements being done for the jatara.“There is no adequate space for the pilgrims to sit to get their heads tonsured,” they said. Earlier, the MPs -- K Kesava Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar, Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Vivek, Porika Balaram Naik, Madhu Yashik, Sirisilla Rajaiah, Manda Jagannatham and Rajagopal Reddy performed pooja at the ‘gaddelu’. They said that they prayed the tribal goddesses to make separate Telangana a reality by 2014 when Jatara would be held next time. The MPs said they would sanction Rs 50 lakh towards jatara works.Governor betrayer of Telangana: Madhu YashkiMP Madhu Yashki Goud termed Governor ESL Narasimhan as a betrayer of the cause of separate Telangana. “He submitted distorted reports on Telangana.The Chapter VIII in the Srikrishna Committee’s report is a draft prepared by the Governor,” he said. He said that they would urge AICC chairperson Sonia Gandhi not to extend the tenure of Narasimhan. “His term will end soon,” he said. The MP vowed to fight for separate Telangana till it was achieved.MP Kesava Rao said that there were Telangana betrayers in all political parties.“Lack of unity among Telangana protagonists is delaying formation of separate state,” he said.
