KUTRA (Sundargarh): Two persons died on Sunday noon after a pick-up van collided with a tipper in front of the Kutra police station on the State Highway 10, about 55 km from Rourkela, in Sundargarh district.Rajgangpur SDPO SK Panigrahi said two passengers of the pick-up van were killed on the spot and as many suffered grievous injuries. He said the mishap occurred around noon as the pick-up van carrying passengers towards Rajgangpur was hit by the tipper from opposite direction.Kutra IIC Banita Majhi identified one of the deceased as Pradip Toppo, a constable in the local fire station, and his relative whose identity was being established. She said two critically injured persons including the pick-up van driver were hospitalised, while seven other passengers escaped.
