Cops, lawyers spar in High Court

HYDERABAD: The High Court witnessed heated arguments between lawyers and senior IPS officers on Saturday over arrest of two lawyers who shouted slogans against the chief justice. A section of pro-Telangana advocates called for boycott in protest against the arrest of G Mohan Rao and another advocate on Friday for their alleged active role in a protest held last week. Rao was whisked away by plainclothesmen from his car while he was returning from court. Though he was released on bail, the legal fraternity protested against unjustified police action.
