KOZHIKODE: The culprits involved in the brutal murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandrasekharan would be brought to  justice soon, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said. Inaugurating a satyagraha observed by KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala against murder politics at Vadakara Kottaparambu ground on Thursday, Chandy said the government would not interfere in the ongoing probe by the Special Investigation Team. The investigation is moving ahead in the right direction, he added.“The murder of Chandrasekharan would be the political killing in the state. Ideological differences should not lead to physical attacks. Chandrasekharan, as a martyr, is much stronger than when he was alive,” said Chandy. Those who are behind this brutal act would be isolated by  society, he added.Addressing the gathering, Chennithala said  CPM general secretary Prakash Karat should break the silence and react on the killing of Chandrasekharan. “If the central leadership of CPM would not  react, the party would face more setbacks than they suffered in West Bengal,” added Ramesh. “If the role of the state leadership in Chandrasekharan’s murder is proved, will Karat remove the state leadership?” he asked.Chennithala said that he stood firm in his statement that CPM local-level leaders, including Onchiyam area secretary C H Ashokan and area committee members, had left their houses a day before the attack on Chandrasekharan. “Some CPM leaders sent legal notice against me on this statement. I have clear evidence that Onchiyam area secretary Ashokan and others were not in their house when Chandrasekharan was attacked,” said Chennithala.“The UDF government will bring all the culprits, including the big fish before law. CPM leaders raised an allegation that I secretly met Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan at Kozhikode Guest House during an official meeting. All the television channels aired the visual of that meeting. Is it possible to conduct a secret meeting in the presence of TV Channels?” asked Chennithala. The UDF and the government have not intervened in the probe at any phase, he added. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran, Minister for Labour Shibu Baby John, Minister for Tourism A P Anil Kumar, V M Sudheeran, M K Raghavan M P, writer K P Sudheera, Shafi Parambil MLA, A P Abdullakutty MLA, KPCC leaders N Venugopal, K P Kunhikannan, T Sidhique, K P Anil Kumar and former minister M A Kuttappan spoke.
