BHUBANESWAR: DAV Public School, Chandrashekharpur, has won the CBSE Heritage India Quiz competition conducted by CBSE New Delhi, for the second time. Around 10,000 schools affiliated to the board had participated in the quiz. The competition was conducted at four different levels. Aswin Kumar Behera of Class IX, Swastik Pradhan of Class X and Gourav Jena of Class IX reached the final round and won by 95 points. Quiz master Pranab Mukherjee conducted it at the India Islamic Centre. The winning team along with the guide teacher were awarded the champion’s trophy citation and cash prize of ` 21,000 by the Minister of State for External Affairs and HRD E Ahamed and CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi. The team was felicitated by the school at a separate function by SMC chairman Madan Mohan Panda and principal KC Satpathy.
