ABVP and NSUI are contesting for only one seat each this year.
New Delhi: Voting to decide the fate of 29 candidates for the four Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) posts began on a dull note on Friday morning.
Voting at the 50 polling centres set up in various colleges of the University began at 0830 hrs IST but there was hardly any rush of voters to be seen.
"This year, there is not much enthusiasm among the students. The reason could be that there are not enough candidates from the two main outfits -- NSUI and ABVP," Harpreet Kaur, a third-year Law student, who had come to vote, said.
The two major students' outfits are contesting for only one seat each this year as their candidates have been disqualified by the University authorities on the charges of violation of code of conduct.
