Eco Summit ends

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The three-day-long Kerala Environmental summit concluded here on Friday. The concluding ceremony exhorted to focus development with a view to strengthen environment, habitats and to the greater extent the survival and existence of bio-organisms. It also aired the fact that development and environment should not be viewed as contradictory factors. Environmental Scientist V S Vijayan read out the declaration ‘Aagola Haritha Prakhyapanam- 2011’ at the summit . The concluding meeting was inaugurated by N Radhakrishnan, Working Chairman of Kerala Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi.  V S Vijayan delivered the keynote address. O N V Kurup read the concluding message during the meeting. He said that the massive effort to help sustain humans and all living beings on the earth is the need of the hour.  A total of 55 papers were presented at the three-day summit.
