With Instagram, Facebook is seen to counter Twitter's Vine video sharing app.
New Delhi: Facebook is reportedly ramping up the offering on its billion dollar acquisition Instagram. TechCrunch reports that Instagram will add support for videos and the announcement will happen at Facebook's June 20 event.
The invite for the Facebook event doesn't give any details and only says, "A small team has been working on a big idea. Join us for coffee and learn about a new product."
With Instagram, Facebook is seen to counter Twitter's Vine video sharing app and other similar apps that are gradually getting popular.
According to TechCrunch, videos on Vine would be between 5 and 10 seconds long. Also it is unclear whether videos on Instagram would have filters similar to the ones that exist for images on Instagram.
