New Delhi: When in September this year Facebook rolled out 'Top Stories' not all users were very excited about the new feature and groups almost immediately sprung up on Facebook to protest the change.
Now Facebook seems to have taken note of user dissatisfaction with the 'Top Stories' will hand the controls to users allowing them to sort their 'News Feed'. Facebook users can choose to display 'Recent Stories' on top if they wish to.
While Facebook is implementing this change, many users have reported that 'Top Stories' have altogether disappeared from their 'News Feeds'.
"Now you have a new way of sorting your News Feed: most recent stories first. You can also continue to view highlighted stories first, followed by recent stories, like what you see today," Mark Tonkelowitz, engineering manager at Facebook, posted on the official Facebook blog.
"If you don't have the updates to News Feed yet, you can expect to see them over the coming weeks as the rollout continues," Tonkelowitz added.
