BANGALORE: Three separate accidents in the city claimed four lives in KR Puram and Adugodi traffic police station limits on Friday night.In Ramamurthynagar Main Road, a driver and his assistant were killed after the tractor in which they were travelling rammed into an electric pole.The deceased have been identified as Malla (20) and Dyavanna (24).The police said that the tractor (MYK-7101) was being driven in a rash and negligent manner and when it came near Holy Church on Ramamurhtynagar main road, the driver lost control over the vehicle and rammed into a cement electrical pole.The driver and his assistant fell from the vehicle and the tractor’s engine fell on them killing the duo on the spot.The duo were returning home after they had gone to K R Puram lake for immersing Ganesha idol.The bodies have been shifted to Bowring Hospital mortuary.In another accident reported in the premises of Coca Cola factory near Benniganahalli Bridge, Thimma Shetty (48), a security guard of the factory, was knocked down by a mini truck.He was a resident of Benniganahalli.While he was guarding a warehouse in the factory premises, the truck that moved after loading the soft drinks accidentally hit him killing him instantly.The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and is absconding, the police said.K R Puram traffic police have registered a case in connection with both the incidents.In a third such accident reported in Adugodi traffic police station limits, a techie died on the spot, after a speeding lorry hit his bike in the wee hours of Saturday.The deceased has been identified as Pragadish Goutham (26), a native of Ooty.He was working as a software engineer at a company in Hanumanthanagar and was residing at BTM Layout 22nd Main.The police said that Goutham was going on his bike near Koramangala Water Tank, when a speeding lorry hit his bike from behind and he was killed instantly.The lorry driver did not stop the vehicle and sped away.The body was sent to his native after conducting a post mortem at Victoria Hospital.The Adugodi traffic police have registered a case and are on the look out for the lorry and its driver.
