Fresh scam surfaces

COIMBATORE: The police on Tuesday produced Coimbatore District Panchayat vice-president E Anandan in court after registering yet another case of cheating against the DMK functionary. Velsamy Raveendran, president and chief orthopaedic surgeon of Coimbatore Bone and Joint Foundation complained that Anandan, through his real estate firm, cheated many by promising plots under an EMI scheme. He refused to transfer ownership even after his clients paid their dues.
