Gadhilingappa seeks Appajis blessings

SHIMOGA: “This morning, I visited Shikaripur seeking blessings from former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa for the Bellary byelection,” said BJP candidate Gadhilingappa.“I requested Appaji (Yeddyurappa) to campaign for me. However, he was not definite about his visit to Bellary,” he added.He told Express here on Tuesday that he arrived in Shimoga a day ago and attended a function held at the residence of state BJP chief K S Eshwarappa, where he added, he discussed various issues, including the election campaign.He expressed confidence that the Bellary electorate will support the BJP, adding that most of the ministers and party leaders would campaign for him after a party meeting scheduled in Bangalore on November 17 and 18.
